I've been using this for a couple of weeks now, to watermark images I export from Aperture 3.1.1. It's an excellent plug-in that works superbly - and is very simple to use (though a few hover-over tool-tips would be helpful, as would a basic beginner's guide just to get started).
I don't have any interest in adding borders to pixs, so the name of the app could be misleading. But as a watermarking tool, it's rare, very versatile and definitely 5 star.
...that's a good question Moogan - and I should have made the point in my review. Aperture 3 supports watermarking, but to do it you need something like Photoshop or Pixelmator. I don't have - or need - either of them. With BorderFX you don't need either of them.
I've been using Herald for some time, after years of using Mail.Appetiser - and it's brilliant, indispensable. It works perfectly, quietly notifying you of emails as they come in, and enabling you to read as much as you want of them, there and then. Looks very good too - beautifully simple, and minimalistic. And the developer is really good at updating. I just finished installing 10.6.5 on the day it was released, and this latest version of Herald was available straightaway.
Five stars for the app and five stars for the developer's fantastic support on keeping it compatible.
Indispensable - I've been using this for many years now, starting from Panther I think (10.3.x on an iBook) right through to Snow Leopard (currently running 10.6.3 on a MPB) and can't imagine using Mail without it. Every update has worked perfectly. And it's typical of the developer's attention to detail to release this version (2.1.11) in readiness for the upcoming dot release. Excellent value, right from the start. Recommend it without any reservation whatsoever.
A little gem - very quick and easy to use, with enough options to make it look pretty good too. Searches from the menubar seem much faster, simply because there's no need to find an open Safari window first.
You can add as many search engines as you want - but you do need to follow the instructions exactly (which I didn't, at first). They're case sensitive.
It's amazing how much visual appeal this adds to your dock, especially when you use it to personalise both iPhoto + Preview. Greatly exceeded expectations for me.
The developer describes it as a beta, but it's worked flawlessly on my iBook (10.4.6) for months. Could it be better? I agree with the previous reviewer. I just wish iMovie was included in the options too.
Definitely the best screenshot tool of all - as well as the best widget around. Far superior to Apple's own Grab. It's quick, simple, takes up very little space and saves to all formats. I use it virtually every day and it works flawlessly - producing excellent quality shots.
(I'm still running 10.4.6 - but my wife has 10.4.8 on her iBook + Screenshot Plus works perfectly for her too.)
Great plug-in - so good, in fact, it should have been part of the application in the first place. The drag-and-drop positioning for text + images gives you much more scope for creative page layouts and it's really easy to use - with an interface that's clear and simple and consistent with the latest apps from Apple (+ others).
It's not always spot on for WYSIWYG layouts, and you can't import movies yet. (A major omission.) Otherwise it's close to perfect - and virtually essential if you want to get the most out of Rapidweaver without becoming a web expert.
Nor does the uninstaller, you have to take it out manually. Very disappointing - especially since it would be a useful thing to have, and the only alternative (Startup sound) doesn't work either.

I also tried iTunes Help, and found this > "with visualiser selected, click the options button if available". It wasn't.
Looks like the skew effect only works with iTunes 7, but I guess I can live with that!
