Works like a charm. I'm using it without a hitch on a Macbook and a iMac G4. Thank you very much for the developer. Now, get Jon Hicks to make a new icon and I'll donate some money :)
Very nice first release. The preference dialog seems a little cluttered. I think many of them could be merged into one, such as Aliases and Shortcuts. Speaking of the aliases, the foward slash within the text input is unneeded. A foward slash must accompany any command anyways so I would leave it in the backend of the code.
I haven't had time to test all the functionality of the application, but if it does all of what it claims in the preferences, this has the potential to be competition for Colloquy. However, with Colloquy being free, the competition is stiff.
Watanabe doesn't give two shits about us, the consumers. I purchased Acquisition August 8th, 2005. I recently formatted and reinstalled Acquisition (on the same machine I first registered with) and now, like many others here, my registration cannot be verified.

I believe it was your responsibility to check if the scanner was supported before you bought it. Not the developer's. You purchased the software as-is. If anyone is to blame, it's yourself.
I've tried to stick by Snak, but it's shortcomings are becoming far too noticeable. I guess the only way to make me completely happy would be a total rewrite in Cocoa.
OS X is so pretty and Snak just doesn't do it justice at all. My complaints aren't just with the looks, but the total functionality as well. I want drag and drop DCC sending and new inventive features. What happen to "think different"? I'd like Address Book functionality that would allow me to whois a person and show their information. So on and so forth.
I think this would be a lot more useful if you could choose how many webcams to display and in what order, such as all vertical, horizontal, or in the shape of a square.

Sorry for my small rant.
