The last time I tried this app, it was still version 3 - and still dreadful, terribly designed, incredibly slow, buggy, regular crashes, and generally unusable.
The only thing that even tempts me to upgrade is the version 4 inclusion of OCR - but now I find that (despite the complete lack of utility in earlier versions) they want me to pay $25 for it.
KM is a fantastic app. I've used it constantly for about 5 years now, and it's become absolutely essential to my workflow. Every time I end up on someone else's computer I find myself desperately, longingly looking for my frequent shortcuts. Makes a huge difference.
The app is stable, intuitive and straightforward, and has a pretty rich set of macro functions you can use. The developer is quite responsive to email, and has been on a tear lately, releasing lots of bug fixes and new features -- including a few that I've wanted for some time (like the ability to use *any* key combo for triggers, not just command/opt/etc.)
All in all - 2 thumbs up. Well worth it.
