Simplify Media

Not sure if this is related or not, but ever since I upgraded to the latest version of iTunes (8.0) simplify media (when running all the time) has caused my Mac to freeze up. I leave my computer on all the time, and it serves an apple tv. My iMac (intel 3.06ghz) does not freeze up when simplify is closed nor did it have any problems prior to the 8.0 release. It seems when both programs are running at the same time, I have issues on my computer. Just wondering if anyone else had similar issues.
