Sometimes system login items "loses" items. This has made my life easier and controls the login arrangement of the menubar apps.

NeO

The current build is not a universal binary -- it is intel only. I know the betas supported the older architecture. Developer, could you produce a build for those of us who still use older PPC macs? Thank you.

NeO

In good faith I bought NeO 2 beta 11 for Leopard 10.5 (it is currently beta 13). Now you release the app for 10.6.6 only and no longer compile it as a universal binary. Developer, I didn't pay you to beta test your application and then have you dump me for the app store. Please release a final version universal binary of NeO 2 for those of us who already paid for it. I realize my PowerBook G4 is outdated, but I selected and paid for your app precisely because it would run on 10.5 Leopard. If you are unable to produce a final version of NeO 2, please refund my money.

I apologize to Takashi Hamada for the above review. In lieu of the wave of developers who abandoned their loyal users to embrace the potentials of the AppStore, I wrongly assumed that Takashi had done the same. The developer has made good on his product. I regret that I am unable to remove this review. I certainly view the product and the developer with renewed confidence and highly recommend that you try this software.

Circus Ponies NoteBook
rwebber commented on 22 Oct 2008
Sampler, your "major criticism of [NoteBook and NoteTaker's] inability to display two different pages at one time" is unfounded. NoteBook 3.0 can "tear out" a page for display and editing in a separate window while allowing moving through the remainder of the notebook in the other window. Just option click on the page you wish to tear out on the contents card. It's really a very useful feature. Too bad it's not in NoteTaker. I think you need to take a closer look at this product.

You may try the application without fear of "inability to roll back to the previous application." The website clearly states that updating the license during trial will not prevent returning to the previous version. The post below me is wrong on this.

LicenseKeeper

Definitely a must have for keeping track of a rapidly multiplying list of software registration codes. Attaching emails and related files is becoming necessary since many developers are now issuing license files instead of simple registration codes. Autoscan of emails for serial numbers is welcome as well.

SOHO Organizer

rwebber reviewed on 04 Jul 2007
Launching and syncing problems are gone in SOHO Organizer 6.2. Word wrapping of items in the To-Do lists is a definite improvement. Movement through Calendar views is optimized as well. My need for linking, keywords, vCal export, and Palm sync are met in the newest build of Organizer. We are back to a software suite that is worth recommending.

Accordance

rwebber reviewed on 25 May 2006
The folks at OakTree Software have consistently produced cutting edge Bible study software for the Macintosh that is unsurpassed by any package on any platform. I know -- I own copies of Libronix for windows and several other less well-known packages for both platforms. None of them can compare with the flexibility of searches offered, the speed of the package, or the intuitive nature of the user interface. The software engineers have produced a stellar package with the newest offering. The new features of version 7 take Accordance well beyond any other application on the market. The new analysis graphs, slide-show function, search by root, arrange by module, and the highlighting feature expanded to include all modules -- just to list a few new features -- have made the newest version well worth the minimal upgrade fee. If you insist on the best Bible study package available, you really must try this application. While you can get in at entry level for about $39, an adequate package for the serious Bible student will cost at least several hundred dollars. I do hope the folks at OakTree will offer some larger, more inexpensive packages in the future.

SOHO Organizer

This third beta of Organizer is a big step in the right direction for Chronos. Syncing is working well for me at all levels. The interface is improved and the combination of the calendar and address database has provided much better integration. Still room for development, but this is very usable now. Earlier incarnations were alpha quality -- this one is good.

Matt, version 2.0.1 is compiled only as an intel build. Could you compile it as a universal so I can run it on my PPC machine?
