Tex-Edit Plus

This is the greatest bang-for-buck text editor of all time! I set it to boot with the system because I use it constantly. Easily the most used app on my machine. Simple, easy, no bloat...yet with a few critical features not found elsewhere.

Needs Work! See both reviews above, and add the fact that it is not yet stable or reliable.

I'll wait for the general release. Surely they will have some of the stability issues fixed from this beta.

In fact, I would argue that this is not ready to be termed a public beta.

QuicKeys X

I have used the original QK for years and years, and I've come to expect a certain level of functionality. In Classic, QK is still a slick and useful app in my opinion. But the OS X version, as noted above, falls far, far short of what I've come to expect. Lots of features are simply not available. The interface has been radically changed--for the worse. As far as I'm concerned, it wasn't broke---so it sure didn't need fixing! Not that this could be considered a fix...

And $79.95! HA! Outragious! Way, way, way too much tor FAR too little.

So although this review isn't specific to this updater, it still holds true for the product. As for me, I'm skipping this updater and going on a search for a replacement. If you find one, let me know. Thanks.

This is a wonderful utility! When I---admittedly through habit---reach for the Finder menu under System 9, I actually find something useful in the upper right corner. Nice implementation too.

This is the best $15 you can spend on software...and that's assuming you register it! I use it all the time to clean up email, remove garbage characters from docs, etc. They are very good at keeping reg. users informed. My highest recommendation.

It seems like I have been waiting forever for these guys to write their Mac version. So far, I have to admit it has been more than worth the wait. These folks are doing a terriffic job! Each release just gets better, but NOT more bloated! Keep up the great work!

Wow! What a fine, fine piece of work! And it just keeps getting better with every release. Furthermore, get this: IT'S FREE! It surpassed a $60 piece of software I used to rely on about three releases ago. Very stable and programmable too.

Highly Recommend!

I just wish I could think of a feature or two to request...

Thank you very much for your hard work, Jeff!
