Simple Convert

roskakori reviewed on 20 May 2007
Dragging a movie didn't work for me. It is unclear which formats are supported, there is no Manual or anything.

After manually entering the full path of a small *.avi (which VLC converts within a few seconds), a busy bar showed up, never turning into a progress bar. It didn't finish during writing this review.

The console contained the following lines:

2007-05-20 17:21:29.075 Simple Convert[759] *** NSTimer discarding exception 'NSRangeException' (reason '*** -[NSCFArray objectAtIndex:]: index (1) beyond bounds (1)') that raised during firing of timer with target 1b5250 and selector 'runPrimaryTask:'

Hope that helps to fix this bug.

When double clicking the icon, it starts to bounce in the dock, but never stops and actually pops up an application window. Furthermore no little black arrow shows up right to the bouncing icon. I checked the system console, it did not contain any messages.

System: Mac OS X 10.3.9, PowerMac G5 (single CPU).

BTW, the link to version 0.2 is broken, I had to download 0.2.2 from your website.

Well, it eventually stopped bouncing (after like 2 minutes) and popped up a dialog announcing that it cannot check for updates.

After that, the application window showed up.

BTW, the computer was online, so I guess it checks at the wrong web location.
