Yeah, another OS update for Leopard. And now my computer, a 12" 1.33ghz powerbook G4, runs even slower than under the last 10.5.4 update. I can't even watch videos on CNN because the feed is so jumpy. Shouldn't each update make your computer run, if not faster, at least smoother? Ah, the wonders of built in obsolescence.
I think it's safe to say that Unsanity is no-more. Kiss such great products as Windowshade, FontCard and ShapeShifter Goodbye.
Hopefully some other software developer will come in and run with Unsanity's product ideas. Only this time hopefully, it will be a company that appreciates its customers in a way that Unsanity did not.
If anyone could list some alternatives to WindowShade and Fontcard, MightyMouse I think all former Unsanity users would appreciate it.

One crummy beta release (that doesn't work) after, what... ten months of Leopard being in the public's hands??? What a bummer. I've pretty much given up on Unsanity. Which is unfortunate, because, I really did like WindowShade and FontCard.
Stick a fork in them folks - they are done and done'r.

Mr. Chop Chop no es senor Ballmer. While me would love to have him bank (just call meez Mr. C'ah-Ching C'ah-Ching thank you pleez) - me no likey him software thingie.
But seriously folks - Was having a problem with Flash. Managed to rectify said problem by trashing my internet plug-ins folder and doing a reinstall of Safari/Opera/Firefox - and, then reinstalling Adobe flash. Now, all appears well in the Land of Chop Chop yet again.
So, MrMartman, For considering me a PC Plant - May the many camels of prosperity drop mounds (and mounds) of good fortune upon your front door step.
Yep, Flash 9 ain't a'workin on my computie-machinie-thingie non-neither. (Triple negative makes aaaaaa.... Anyone??? Anyone??? Bueller??? That's right, a *negative*.)
The problem of Safari/Opera/Firefox hanging when I try to watch an internet video is definitely being caused by the Flash Player plugin.
When I remove every plugin in my * Library/Internet Plug-ins * folder except for the * Flash Player.plugin * my internet browser gets hung-up when attempting playing video.
When I remove just the * Flash Player.plugin * my internet doesn't hang itself up when attempting to play videos. BUT (big butt), without that Flash plugin I can't play any videos through my browser. Fudgie-Fudge-Fudge.
Or can I??? Any suggestions from anyone?
So, where do I go from here? Hopefully Adobe will make a fix to the final version of FlashPlayer-9. Until then I'm doing my CNN and YouTube video watching on my PC/Vista computer. Ain't that a hoot. JUDO CHOP!!! Take that, Mac/Adobe!!! CHOP! CHOP! CHOP!
I do ager with you in larger part with your comments about Apple. They don't care about the needs of their customers any more. They haven't cared about us since they did away with wysiwyg font menus with OSX. I would personally tell people considering Apple computers to think long and hard, very long and hard, about the Windows option.
Apple is no longer "cool". They have become the tiered old behemoth of a company that initially made it's customers move away from MicroSoft. Their systems are, for the most part, un-customizable these days. Which is what we early Apple users loved about their computers and operating systems.
However, likewise, Unsanity should have seen this coming. They got soft. For a while there they were the big bad boys on the block and they should have know that Apple would have, sooner or later, taken a swipe at them. At the end of the day - as goes Unsanity - so goes Apple. Both relegated to the scrap-heap of nice ideas that, for one reason or another, have run their course - like New Coke and glass Shampoo bottles.
Ps. as of 10.5.2 WindowShade is still not compatible with Leopard.
Unfortunately, Unsanity is toast. Stick a fork in them they are done. Let's see, it's been close to 5 months with no updates for any of their software. Not a one. What a joke. Way to show respect for your customers. If they cared, or were working on new releases, they'd be keeping us up-to-date on their blog page... which of course, they are not doing. So, my only conclusion is that they have thrown in the towel. Sorry folks, it's time to face reality.
