Very impressive handling of cuesheets, with file conversion and cue splitting taking place far faster than you would believe possible. Simple interface means that you have to use preferences to set the output format, but overall this is an amazing app!
I've used this app for several years, but I'm deterred by the cost of yet another upgrade. There's no killer features included to justify it.
Much as I admire the folks at Omni, I think they are trying to milk their customer base too hard.
If their screenshot is their idea of an informative graphic, then they badly need to read up on how to graph data. No-one could possibly make sense of this piece of bling, in which parts of the data are hidden by the stuff in the foreground.
Exactly what you need if you have a lot of mail folders.
Rules will cover 95% of the filing you need to do, but from time to time there's an email that needs to be filed somewhere. Here's the solution. I've used it constantly since I installed it.
Makes you wonder why Mail doesn't do this - such a simple and elegant idea!
I can't stand that the first comment you read is the one below. The poster has clearly no idea what iClip does, and is utterly at variance with dozens of enthusiastic reviews, here and elsewhere. iClip is the biz - and as someone who has been around since punched card, I know from ugly; this is elegant.
Blindingly fast compared with EndNote. Retrieving 50 references from PubMed took 4 seconds. In comparison, EndNote had retrieved the first 11 references from the same search in 30 seconds, at which point I aborted the thing.
Plus, it searches PubMed in the way that medical researchers are used to searching, when you use the advanced search option.
And free - hard to beat that for value...
Inventive interface. The problem with smart clipboard utilities is usually that they are smarter than people. They can remember more stuff than you can. So the interface is critical - it should be easy to figure out where to put stuff and to retrieve it from. The latest improvements to the interface are well thought-out, getting the whole look simpler and more integrated.
These people are developing a really first class utility.
Still the occasional crash with Word (when copying text containing hyperlinks) but utterly stable with all other apps.
