I haven't really given this a rating before?! 5 Stars in minimum. One of the most creative music apps available. Actually this means it helps you to be creative and to concentrate on your production - not that the app itself tries to be creative, like many other tools. Just experiment, jam, record and you will simply love how it works. This is how creating music should be understood.
I would love to use this software but as it is limited to 3 blogs I simply can't use it. If you have only 1-3 blogs to maintain it may be a very nice tool. The developer seems to not be able to make minor changes to the app (very easy to code feature requests) but he is responsive and will tell you directly what he thinks ;-)
So, as Blogo is nearly dead I went for MarsEdit.
I just purchased BBEdit 10, the good old Editor I used to use on OS9. I always loved skEdit, my heart never get warm for TextMate, but when I saw the price drop, I had to get BBEdit. It was a good decision by barebones to bring the price down to be able to compete with the other editors.
But I have found BBEdit constantly crashes here (Lion GM) whenever I try to open the User Manual or create a new project. So, let's see how fast the Barebones Support is.
btw: I was sold when I opened a ZIP file in BBEdit and could directly work on the files - a killer feature for me.
Is it only me who can't really use this app in a productive manner? Today I upgraded to V3 hoping the font handling is much faster, but no, it isn't. Yes, I do have about 2000 fonts but I thought this is a professional application which improves your daily work. I just deactivated about 400 fonts and this took about 10 minutes. During that process the whole system is very unresponsive, I even can't use Safari and Mail. I really love the UI and the way you can setup groups, activation groups and the dynamic load of deactivated fonts in CS5 is great and it works, once the fonts are active. But until they are you can get another coffee, read the newspaper or have a short ride with your bicycle.
Sure, I really have to talk with the developers about this first, but I am just disappointed the way it works at the moment. I only can suggest you try it out first and see yourself.
Mjc you are probably right that the problem is osx and not FEX. But I have to correct some minor things:
a) I didn't mean I have about 2000 fonts active, I have to manage about 2000 fonts. Actually per default I only have about 600 fonts activated and I am talking about "fonts" and not "font families". Per default I have about 130 font families active. If I would have all fonts activated all the time it wouldn't be a problem (OK, it could be a problem) but activating/deactivating actually IS the problem.
b) Personally I like the way apple handles font organization in the 3 spots: user fonts, machine fonts, system fonts. It is also very useful if you are working on a network with user based home directories.
I can understand this app isn't very easy to configure but once you set it up properly you don't have to even start it again to sync all your bookmarks accross clients and to the cloud. The agents simply work in the background whenever changes are detected and this is the REAL KILLER FEATURE!
The developer was very helpful in getting everything working correctly (was testing several beta versions) and now I have a bookmark system that simply works for me.
I also use Webbla and 1.5b supports delicious and pinboard but even it looks and works much nicer it won't replace bookmacster at the moment.
Phantastic App to keep versions of your files. There is only one other app with visual versioning is Gridiron's Flow - which is a great product too btw. But FS is not targeted mainly to designers, so for general purposes this is the one to go.
The only thing I really miss is a way to share your versioning library. Of course you could use the same db on two macs but this leads to data inconsistency, so don't even try it.
All I need for a very good price. Of course it is not like many other easy book keeper tools (e.g. iBank). You need to know the basics. But if you need to have a professional application for your business there is no way around more advanced applications. Maybe in the US it is different but you can't use easy tools here in Europe - even they look better. When you actually work with it you will see you can do all bookings very fast.
I never had any problems with it concerning stability.
I have to say I never had any problems with this application. I can't see where the problems are so I only can give my opinion here. This torrent client is very easy to use and has a great UI. It works as it should, so there is no negative rating from my point. Of course I will add another review whenever I should come into trouble. So I suggest: try it out and see if it works for you.
Found that GB isn't working on Lion GM for me. I only received a cryptic message, telling me to deactivate and reactivate GB. Until I found the "Also download beta" in the Software Update checker. With v 1.4.15b7 I can use Glimmerblocker again.
