It would be nice to extend this app to keep track of accounts - and income as well as expenses. Then it could also be a check book balancer type application. I am trying to find good software for this, but so far Excel has been the best option.
Note that this product does not use native OS X buttons, lists, etc. In addition, the interface is clunky; operations are performed via "add", "edit" and "remove" type buttons, rather than letting you just drag things around or edit them in place. In other words, it feels like using Windows software.
I had difficulty with the date field for expense/income items and as a result didn't explore all features of the software.
