The combo link to 10.6.5 is fake and once installed and restarted didn't change my system version from 10.6.4 or the build number. This was not on my mac but an external boot drive which I have for testing.

This link is also posted on macrumors and has been killing peoples systems.

The strange things is there is no links on apples site for the update delta or combo at the time of posting this.

I see it in software update also but still wary as the size is a lot smaller than 10.6.4 update was. I am just going to wait for download links posted on apples downloads page.

All combo updaters previously have been as a dmg file and not a pkg file. This to me says fake.

anyone interested check macrumors and see the amount of people whom have run the (fake) combo updater and rendered their systems unbootable after it and those like myself having no change to the system version after the reboot.

Beware! This doesn't work very well with firefox 3.5.5 thus far as it crashed several times after installing it and I also repaired the permissions which found quite a few problems.

I have since gone back to the latest non beta version and still have some minor issues with it. At least it hasn't crashed for me yet.

Be aware the current version downloadable is 13.0.2 still as at time of this post. This was release November last year.

It looks much like smith micro have dropped the ball on this one for now at least.

Apple AirPort Extreme

Apple has completely pulled the update from their own site and it also is not showing in software update for me pn an Intel C2D imac. I have read some rather basty comments about more problems than needed and it seems apple pulled it rather fast.

I am waiting to see if a re-release comes forward as the one available here maybe the version that causes so many new issues.

Apple have screwed up bigtime as the DNS flaw is still unpatched on the client side and the server side is possibly still the same.

Apple seems to be getting more money focused and less focued on fixing the issues and also less on the end user as me I feel screwed over by not getting a proper or a fix at all.
