Apple Safari

Realmac17 reviewed on 12 Jun 2007
Works very well. Very fast, and I *love* the new Find (cmd+F, give it a go if you haven't already). The added CSS 3 support with the new WebKit is very good too, but there are bugs but it is a Public Beta afterall.

Odd user interface, no Universal Binary, not very Mac-like in general but seems to work rather well. The reports are probably the best feature.

DragThing does this and so much more with a better user interface. (Unless I missed something). Maybe Pangea should stick to games?

Does the job as advertised very well - I even paid for the Pro version (only $10). Now I won't burn my eyes out since my iMac is still very bright on the lowest brightness level.

$50 for an app you can't even trial and for an app that has an ugly interface and lots of freeware competitors? Right.

I'm sorry, why would you pay $29.95 for an app with hardly any functionality when you could pay $10 more and get a decent finance app that does it all?

Email Backup Pro
Realmac17 commented on 12 Apr 2007
Cheap and it works. Although the backup file is large (250MB for me, but I do have a lot of email). However, a free alternative is to simply do manual backups by making a copy of where a mail client originally saves accounts/emails/attachments.

Mellel

Realmac17 reviewed on 17 Feb 2007
Could be a lot better. No text flow around images (no way to wrap text around images). This feature was meant to come in v2 but didn't. The way Mellel handles paragraph/character styles is weird and confusing. No option to customize the toolbar. No option to change the page color. I don't think this compares very well to Nisus or Word at all. 3/5

Nice looking, but at the same time metal is an old look. Lacking in features. Very slightly over-priced. No customer support or documentation. There are much better apps out there. 2/5

Won't launch on my iMac 17" intel core duo running OS X 10.4.6.
