Growl is great when it works, however, the process seems to stall when I put the system to sleep after a few times. No, it's not the notification settings that's keeping it to stick, the whole process craps up with a beachball as I hover over them. I use an external monitor hooked up to my MBP. Not sure if that's causing it, but it does work most of the time and for that I'll give it a 4 out of 5.
Also, why isn't there an option to manually place the notification?
Wouldn't it make more sense to be able to place it beside the dock in the corner of the screen to fill in the gap? Is there a reason this can't be done?
As someone who migrated from Windows recently, I was happy to see CCleaner on Mac. One thing that didn't seem to work was removing address box entries in Google Chrome. I rechecked every option under the Google Chrome section to clear it out but it didn't clear even after quitting the browser. I had to manually go into Google Chrome's preference panel to clear that out. But otherwise it seems to work well. Thanks!
