Regarding excluded files / directories: you must choose the right table: exclude either by name or full-path. There is _no_ pattern matching however. AFAIK, exclusion works fine.

Amazon S3 seems to work for the majority of users (if not all) as there are no issue report so far.

However, there is a pending issue on Mathusalem stuck in "idle" mode that a few users experienced:

If you have any info on this, please add a comment to the issue, so that it can be investigated.

If you want to back up to an FTP server, make sure to select FTP in the destination type, not SFTP. SFTP is for file transfers over SSH, so it won't work at all with FTP servers!
