I love Little Snitch's Network Monitor but I'd also like to see the complete addresses of the items that are being uploaded/downloaded. It only shows the hostnames.
Does anyone know of any network monitoring app that will let me see full addresses?
I bought Toast Titanium 11 Pro and find their software a great deal but I hate downloading from Digital River's servers.
They limit the download attempts to 5 and access from 3 different IPs. It is too complicated to download purchases. I made the purchase yesterday morning and I still can't finish the download.
Don't use Speed Download (or any download accelerator) if you attempt to download anything from Digital River's servers as it will bring the number of download attempts to infinite. If your ISP releases the IP often or use a VPN, it will affect the different IPs count and won't be able to finish the download without contacting Digital River to reset those counts and you'll have to restart the download from zero!!!
I have the following haxies installed on my Mac (10.6.6):
- FruitMenu 3.8.4
- Labels X 3.0.1
- Menu Master 2.0.1
- WindowShade X 5.0.7
- Xounds 3.0.1
Any of the above mentioned haxies are causing the following issues:
- AirPort menu shows "No AirPort card installed"
- Delete Safari preferences on restart
- Delete Dock preferences on restart
- Delete Finder Desktop preferences on restart
- Crashes GrowlHelperApp
- Crashes SystemUIServer
- Crashes Boom
- Won't allow the presence of other menu extras (namely iStat Menus, Transmit, Viscosity, etc.)
- iStat Menus is turned off on restart
- Removes menu items
- Menu items order is lost
- Turns off MobileMe syncing
- Won't allow 1PasswordAgent to load in Safari
- etc. etc. etc.
Some comments:
- Fruit Menu should be limited to enhance the menubar for all apps and context menus in the Finder.
- Menu Master shouldn't mess with other menu items.
- Application Enhancer shouldn't mess up with apps the user didn't ask to be enhanced.
I have enjoyed all the above haxies since 2004 but now they are extremely unreliable and problematic. It's a pity as I really miss them (Including Silk and FontCard)
I also noticed Smart Crash Reporter is installed by default when installing FruitMenu. I unchecked this option because your website CLEARLY STATES IT'S NOT SNOW LEOPARD COMPATIBLE. The installer should be smart enough to skip it when detecting the OS version.
I have contacted Unsanity twice and they didn't bother to reply. I also sent them all APE related crash reports. I always contact the developer directly before posting any comment publicly.
Sometimes I'm not in the mood to troubleshoot. I just want the haxies to work. This isn't a beta release. I understand all software has bugs but this is just too much.
There's no settings option for "don't delete any preference files" or "don't mess up with my menu items" or "limit the haxie to this app", etc.
This isn't about excluding apps either, what does FruitMenu has to do with these apps: Growl, 1Password, AirPort Base Station Agent, Boom, Default Folder X, Desktop Notifier, Dock, Dropbox, Glims, Hazel, HoudahSpot, iTunes, KeyCue, launch2net, Little Snitch, LogMeIn, Mailplane, Pastebot, Printopia, PTHPasteboard, Quiet Read, RemoteHelper, Safari, SIMBL, Sophos AV, Spanning Sync, Speed Download, SpiceRack, System Preferences, TextExpander, Transmission, Transmit, Viscosity Warp and Witch?
FruitMenu should be limited to the menubar (SystemUIServer) and the Finder's context menu.
WindowShade X, Labels X and Xounds don't seem to be causing any issues, I have uninstalled them and the problem remains. The problematic haxies are FruitMenu and MenuMaster.
When I saw they released Snow Leopard compatible updates, I tried them immediately. I was about to purchase upgrade licenses a few days ago in order to support the developer. I'm glad I didn't.
Unsanity takes too long to release fixes for new versions of the OS. Some haxies haven't been updated in years!
This app is very complicated to use. I downloaded it yesterday and set up Google Bookmarks, Delicious and Safari. It's been 24 hours and I'm still struggling with it.
The app copied everything into Safari and messed up all my bookmarks. Furthermore, it copies all the bookmarks to the Bookmark sidebar one by one instead of creating a new collection.
This app should provide preview of the exported bookmarks BEFORE modifying Safari's bookmarks and allow to create collections or folders.
It has many features but the UI is horrible and unintuitive. Definitely not worth $22.
Does anyone know a better bookmark app that has the same features? I need to organize, verify and sync my bookmarks.
Can someone tell me the build number of this new version of Office?
I want to see if the same installed via the Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center.
Thanks.
TE3 seems to reset its preferences on launch.
I have to set it up and resync every single time it launches.
I never had an issue with TE2, what have they done here?

Features are OK, could be a lot better for the price.
It also has a two terrible bugs:
- Causes a kernel panics
- Doesn't recognize non-native network interfaces.
Rubbernet is not ready for prime time.

It was fun while it lasted. Good bye haxies.

Whenever I have it running and press F7 at any time, it opens a browser window that links to a download page at MacUpdate.
Yesterday was RealCADD and it was automatically downloaded, and today is Desktop Manager but it only shows the information page.
How can I disable this? This should be documented, I thought there was a virus or spyware in my Mac.
