Well, it's only a preview, but I have to say that I really like the output I'm getting from BibblePro 5. I've tried processing a number of RAW files across a series of demos (e.g., Aperture, Capture One 5, Lightroom 3) and nearly every time the IQ of the Bibble 5 output is (to my eyes) the best looking. Great detail, nice colors, fast processing. Not too bad for a preview. Four out of five at this point for some preview-like bugs and omissions.
In my opinion, IQ order from best to 'less than best' is:
Bibble5, CaptureOne5, LR3, Aperture2. The fact that Bibble's new interface allows for catalogs and decent metadata searches is a real plus over Bibble4. LR3 does this very nicely, as does Aperture (asset management, I mean), but at the end of the day IQ is what matters most to me, and what I'm getting at this point from Bibble5 wins in that category.
I wasn't going to buy the app when I learned about the hidden helper that deletes files; nothing to delete on my machine, but the principle is too important. When the developer (in a post below) admitted it was the wrong thing to do and in turn removed that code from the app, he received my money. This is just what I was looking for in a music app... Small footprint, access to iTunes library without needing to launch iTunes, and slick interface. It's been stable and it does the trick at a very fair price.
I used to use GyazMail exclusively a couple of years ago, when it was in its 0.9.X.X phase. There have been nice developments with it over the years, but it seems odd to me that smart folders have not become a standard feature in the program yet. Apple Mail is quite flaky for me, so I use Entourage instead these days (which has "smart folders" in its "Mail Views" function), but I would likely switch to GyazMail if that sort of functionality was implemented.
