Apple Mac Pro SMC Firmware Update

I just installed this update. Once the system restarted, I didn't see any noticeable change in system fan speeds or any new options to control fan speeds by temperature or RPM's.

If you are looking to control the four individual fan speeds for the MAC PRO's CPU/HDD/CASE/and Power Supply go to:

http://homepage.mac.com/holtmann/eidac/

search for a utility called smcFanControl.app

Once installed, you can easily adjust the fan speeds to keep your system cool.

I apologize, I see that you do have 2.1.2, after following your link.

The last line of your comment "(8/8/07 version 1.1)" is misleading.

What does the "version 1.1" refer to?
