POS. Clips are replicated multiple times -sometimes as many as five or six. I cannot reliably pull-down the menu bar. The company does not respond to requests for assistance. I cannot recommend under any circumstance at this time.
To Donperreault: I happen to have a PhD and I excel at math (thanks so much for making this personal). And I figure an app as concerned as this one is about only running on a single Mac isn't worth the trouble of even installing it. Even Adobe and Microsoft enable installation on two machines (e.g., desktop and portable).
As for review purposes I've now had the opportunity to use it for more than a few minutes on the one #$%^ machine it will work on. It's so-so. On a few images in a few instances it impressively erased unwelcome items, but in portraits with images hugging facial features or hair, it is completely useless. If they could modify their tools to deal with this common scenario, it would be a useful tool. Oh yes, it is slow as molasses. The Heinz ketchup of photo-editors.
I agree completely with Lvdoc. Apple's App store is fundamentally flawed in that demo or trial apps aren't provided, and Apple states in the agreement you sign onto that if you'd ever like a refund, get used to disappointment.
Related to the difficulty of getting refunds from Apple for any reason: Apple agreed completely with me that I had mistakenly purchased an app from the iOS app store recently (accepting the logic of how it happened since I thought I was re-downloading a highly similar app whose name differed by a single character in 29 characters), yet they still refused me any refund. Period. Use Apple stores at your peril, but I suggest you simply avoid developers and vendors who sell their wares through them exclusively.
Today, for the second time, Genuine Fractals asked to be re-activated. When I entered the code obtained at purchase, it returned a -23 error indicating (once you consult their website), that I exceeded the number of allowed activations. Since I had ALREADY activated the software on my computer, I'm not surprised. This copy protection scheme of theirs is annoying and irksome to the extreme and I highly recommend that anyone seeking a rescaling program CONSIDER SOMETHING ELSE.
Beware, for now the vendor has stated that he intends to exclusively sell this application only through Apple's new store. That means that the vendor will constantly have to weigh whether new or novel features will stand muster with Apple's approval process. It means that if Apple, for any reason at all, decides it doesn't like a feature of the software (it could be confused with Spotlight!), they can demand the vendor change it or be banned. Finally (if that isn't enough), if the vendor needs to urgently distribute an update with a fix to an inadvertently incorporated bug, it may take several weeks for the update to be approved into the store and become available to you.

Growly Notes

It most closely resembles Curio. It is far simpler to operate though.
Try the export function. You can easily get very high quality notes back out of this app and into other programs.
I haven't seen free software of this caliber in years.
