Vlc the best media player ever! :D
I really love it, it's simple for the normal user but in case you have access to many advanced options! :D
Vlc read all the video you have! :)
Gimp! It's not Photoshop but still you can learn how to use it and realize special works.
And if you are not a "pro" then Gimp is the perfect choice! :D
I really love to develop software with NetBeans, there are a lot of options and it helps you to handle some boring operations. Sometimes it will drive you crazy because of some defects but in the end it's still a very good IDE. :)
Skype is a good alternative to IChat, it requires less bandwidth. It's not perfect but the new beta version is introducing some improvements. There are still some stability issues but I really love this software! :D
Do you need to execute other OS inside your Mac? this is a good solution, i really love it.
Of course you will not be able to run heavy software (video games for example) but for test and simple software (browser internet, specific/old application) it's a perfect solution.
If you have no need to create complicated document but you still want more then a simple office suite this is the best choice and if you do not need to deal with Office documents this is then... a MUST! :D
I really love this program, i hope that more beautiful improvement will be introduced... but it's already a good program and an original/new way to use rss :)
