Nice. Looks and feels quite well put together. Seems to take good advantage of the POSIX ACL API within OS X. Just started using it so I'm not sure if it's doing it's job reliably.
Always glad to see a developer making the effort to introduce more security related software to the macintosh platform. Not enough of it. Thanks. Keep it locked.
Terrific text editing program indeed but, the eyes have it. The developers, choice of icons destroys it's aesthetic. But,, that aside it funtions very well and best of all it's free (Many blessings).
Thanks for the downloadable replacement icon sets by the way! That's much better!
Good stuff man! However. I didn't see any information about external editing capabilities. Are there any plans on integrating the Bare Bones ODB Suite into ForgEdit?
Sweet little application. However, I was noticing that while running the "Check Status" option their seemed to be a couple of minor functionality flaws/omissions.
To begin with the inability to determine and categorize "page/link redirects" leads to the false notion that a bookmark is actually valid (i.e. has not moved or become a dormant domain name). I have found that certain bookmarks pointed to bogus pages even after I performed the "Check Status" test.
Another detail to consider is in regard to the HTTP request timeouts. It seems at current the application does not allow any means (that I noticed) to set/adjust the timeout value for HTTP requests. This can slow things down considerably.
In conclusion This app is "sweet" but, it has potential to be "rad". It would be way radical to see a better implementation of RFC 2616 (HTTP/1.1). I'm sure our deveopler has already noted this and is working diligently to dazzle us with his latest revision ;) Just trying to help.
