Technical support is non-existent. I downloaded the latest version for use with Lion 10.7.2. The application does not record Pandora music. After following all help files at their website, I emailed them three (3) times.
Not a single reply to assist me with the non-recording issue. Regardless of price, if the company ignores customers, it is a useless product.
As far as I can tell, MacPilot does not work with Safari 5.1 (7534.48.3) on Lion GM in that it does not suppress the site icons, for example.
We need an update compatible with Lion ASAP!!
It works like a charm on my Mac Pro whereas the companion software SMS client runs well on my iPhone 4.
When I had a Sony-Ericcson cell phone years go, I used this developer's PhoneAgent. He is extremely responsive to my questions and is always willing to accommodating various feature requests.
And, his impeccable technical support continues with SMS sender. It is true that there are other programs that do similar tasks. But, if you appreciate courteous support from a developer, I recommend this program.
Due to limitations in Apple's SDK, no program running on a Mac can make the iPhone send an SMS message without user confirmation on the iPhone.
They repeatedly say "Email us at support@infinitydatasystems.com", but I have never received a single reply to multiple email messages I have sent. NOT EVEN ONCE. That's the same as receiving no support.
Do not waste your money or time in trying to use this program. You will only be frustrated because the developer has not answered a single question I have asked.
Since v1, I have owned and used this utility and have been extremely satisfied with the features it offers.
The developer's communication has been superb, responding to my questions, suggestions, and possible bug reports.
I can hardly imagine a day without FruitMenu on the three Mac's that I use daily.
I have owned and used FontCard, FruitMenu, Menu Master, and WindowShade. The only time the APE was an issue was when I upgraded to Leopard. Of course, this issue was widely reported. So, it was easy to get back on track.
All four products I listed above are still betas for Leopard. But, I have not experienced any instability issues with installations of Leopard on my Mac's (Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, and G5 Tower) that I could trace to the APE.
I downloaded v2.1.2 and installed it on my Mac Pro (MacPro1,1, Dual-Core Intel Xeon, 6GB RAM). As the previous poster stated, upon launch, the app freezes and there is no way to pull down the menu.
Furthermore, Activity Monitor shows 100% CPU use. Horrible.
As of March 20, 2010, it has stopped working on Safari 4.0.5 (5531.22.7) running on a G5 Tower with OS 10.5.8.
Out of desperation, I installed Safari AdBlocker 1.8.1 and thankfully ads disappear again.
Are other users of GlimmerBlocker experiencing the same issue?
On a G5 Tower running OS 10.5.8 and a Mac Pro running OS 10.6.1, CNN video and ACCU Weather video would not play if Safari AdBlock is on. The moment I disable Safari AdBlock and reload a page, videos at these sites play.
v2.3.2 crashes upon pressing the button in Safari 3.2.1 (5525.27.1).
This issue has been reported elsewhere. I hope the developer will issue a fix soon
One feature claimed to work for Safari DOES NOT work. Try "Use circular progress indicator." Even after relaunching Safari, the progress indicator stays the same as default 'bar.'
This new release v1.5 does not seem to work with Safari 3.1 (5525.13) on OS 10.5.2.
If someone has gotten this version working, please post your success.
My apologies. v1.5 does work with Safari 3.1. I was so used to a quick interaction between Baywatch and Safari on Tiger that I thought v1.5 was hanging every time I tried to add an auction. So, I kept force-quitting v1.5. Then, today I noticed in my iCal some eBay entries. So, I realized that v1.5 had actually worked. This evening, I let v1.5 as long as it wants to run when I add an auction. Sure enough, it does add the auction in iCal.
Thank you again for your wonderful product!

An attempt to launch from within ScriptEditor results in an error as well.
Simply, it does not work at all :-(
