I work with tabular data a lot every day.
I try to open fews differents files with this, in csv, txt, ... with separator "," , ";" ,"tab","|" , ended with LF or CR/LF, ... absolutly without success !?
Always the two same error :
"some line don"t have the same number of columns..." (that is false...)
and
"wrong encoding" ??? (just text in iso or utf8 format)
So what ?
Maybe i've made something wrong. In other case, this soft is absolutly unuseful...
Sorry... but i always read the requirements...
I've try to run it first on a powerbook (PPC) with 10.4.6 then on a ibook (PPC) with 10.4.11 and just for testing, on a macbook. On each mac, it didn't work.
well, reading the previous reviews, i was curious to see by myself what can do this old boy. And i was quite disapointed. This app is really long to start. Safari starts maybe 2 or 3 time faster.
It's quite fast for loading pages, but again, Safari is really faster.
And concerning the content, there are a lot of bugs with the CSS interpretation, some crap (and old) interpretation of HTML, like the border of images with links, wrong dimensions of blocks, don't like some transparencies, ect...
Concerning GUI, there are few annoying lakes. For instance, you can't close a tab without to be on its page... what a wasted time !
Ok, there are a lot of options and preferences, as in FireFox, that there are not in Safari. But all i want is to see fast and precisely the pages i want. So i keep with Safari than this big stuff !
for your curiosity, i'm running it on 10.4.10, pwb17' 1.33 2Go ram + Safari 2.0.4, FireFox 2.0.0.9, ect...
What about this question ? NN9 should be better on mac intel ? I'll see that soon...
Anyway, the system and hardware have nothing to do with the defaults of CSS and HTM interpretation... and the website i tested with looks perfect on other browsers (mac/pc).
I like it immediatly... Easy, fast, clear ! But i would not use it. For what ?
There are lots of little bugs in it, sa with the preferences loading, crash when opening the file with another editor at the same time, ect...
I think the support of XML would be the missing value.
At minimum, the possibility to export as xml format. Maybe the possibility to read xml...
And in the same way, it could be really a great improvement to have multiple task level in a "Project".
And then, with all that, i will found it usefull as a very simple xml editor. (or a very simple task manager ;-))
As i've say at the beginning, i like it. But for the value, 18$ is far too much !!!
This little soft is going better, with a nice gui. I prefer Megazoomer (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/21275), a SMIBL plugin, faster, more flexible with a better Finder integration, but i'm curious to see the next build of PYA...
It's quite difficult to find a good voice synth for french language. Maybe impossible... And these are not so bad. The 4 french voices sound almost natural, but there are a lot of bugs with the timing, punctuation, abbreviation... Then, it becomes quickly unbearable !
However, it should be usefull with a applescript support... but none at this time..

This stupid thing trashed all necessary files. Then, none of my apps run anymore.
This soft has no preferences or configuration panel, nothing to control. If you use it, just pray...
bad.
