I'm trying to encrypt a folder with a lot of files.. the status bar loaded not even half way and I got the spinning beachball. I left it like that for a few minutes and nothing happened. I figure it crashed so I forced quit it and am trying it again as I type this.

Tried it again and got this:

There was an error when trying to encrypt 'v.zip' !

It failed to tell me what the error was though. I tried it a few more times and 3 times I get an error.

Any ideas?

1.81 actually opens up and runs now without hanging.. but now none of my torrents will start. I had the same few that ran smooth (downloaded) on 1.76. Now, after letting the program sit for about 20 mins, it seems to have trouble connecting to peers and even getting a download started.

Yes, my port is open, and yes, I made a post to the application website forums.

Where can I find a 1.76 download?

I updated from the previous version to 1.80 today and nothing works. It takes forever (or just hangs) when trying to quit. I end up having to force quit it to get it to shut down properly.

I notice now that NONE of my torrents are running. My port is open. I've reinstalled it and also rebooted. I had a few torrents running just fine until I updated to 1.80. Now nothing works.

Any ideas? I'm running it on a MBP Intel 2.4ghz core duo, Snow Leopard 10.6.2

I'm running an early 2008 Macbook Pro Intel 2.4ghz core 2 duo..

I noticed that when I boop up my mac, before running smc, istat pro shows my fans running at rougly 2000rpm. I set my "default" smcfancontrol speed at 4000rpm.

When you quit smc, isnt it supposed to set it back to regular default? Which my guess would be 2000rpm, since that is what the mac started with upon bootup. This is not the case, I quit smcfancontrol and check istat, it is still saying that the fans are at 4000rpm.

Is this a bug?

UPDATE:

I restarted the mac thinking it would revert back to default fan speeds (2000rpm) and it didnt, it is still stuck at 4000rpm.

The only way to get it back to 2000rpm is to do a SMC reset.

Is this normal?
