Well worth the $5, IMO ... especially with the online options (a unique stats tracking system that (1) allows you to track your "friends" and [using location services] others playing locally; and (2) tracks alternative stats such as average power-ups per game).

Hoping that actual online "battle" play will come in the near future, but even in the interim I highly recommend this title ...

Toy Bot Diaries

Ladies and gentlemen, the first "true" iPhone game on the market has arrived:

- Excellent use of tilt controls (which control the Toy Bot forwards and backwards.

- Excellent use of touch controls, allowing the Toy Bot to "swing" and to use its magnetic boots to climb walls and traverse ceilings.

While the gameplay from start to finish might be considered brief, this title will keep you totally engaged for at least a couple of hours. At a cost of $3.99, it's well worth the price.

What's more, this is merely the first "episode" -- with at least a few more to come.

So, go ahead: Download and enjoy the first real platformer for the iPhone!
