Crude, but interesting. If the drawing tools weren't so blocky as to make MacPaint look sophisticated, it would surely help. But it's interesting how the dots multiply. As interesting as multiplying dots can be.
The definition of Software as it Ought to Be. Invisible, except when you need it. Provides (more or less) useful information. The design expansions make sense. It's always been somewhat troubling that there is not much feedback when you plug some devices in, unless you know where to look. Having the visual feedback is a delight.
Very good for free, I must say. However, to win me over, I would really like to be able to have programs remember which space they are in, instead of making sure I've switched there before I begin. Workspaces is really good about this. But I like the free, and the nice, minimal interface. If apps remembered where they were, it would be near-perfection.
Near as I can tell, this is just a carbon copy of the regular menu item, which uses a house icon instead of the user's long name. And that makes it perfect.
Those complaining about the lack of updates may want to head on over to adium.sourceforge.net, where they post the regular alpha releases. For myself, this is the finest of the fine, the last word in AIM messaging. I just don't see the point of using an AIM app that doesn't have tabs. iChat, for all its nice touches, doesn't do it for me. Adium is the One True AIM Client.
The only irc client I've seen that is simple, and does just what I need it to do. Nice, clean, attractive interface, and actively developed. And the price is right. Well done.
