Version 2.1 has improved from the previous release (FinderPop now works fine when selecting the "Ignore mouse events..." option) but I still can't use another Wallpaper picture than the original grey one. You can choose another picture in preferences, but the Hide Icons command still shows the grey screen.
Removing v2.1 and everything added by it, then going back to v 1.25 solved that problem. Mac OS X 10.7.1 here.
Thanks for your reply. I should have been more clear, sorry. When you hide the icons with Camouflage, all you see is the desktop color you chose in System Preferences: here it is a neutral grey. With v1.25, I can go into Camouflage preferences/Custom Wallpaper and chose another color. When I hide icons with Camouflage, the icons are hidden with the color selected in Camouflage preferences/Custom Wallpaper, and the entire desktop is using that color instead of the grey. That does not work in v2.1: hiding the icons still uses the original choice from Sys. Prefs. for the desktop image (grey) instead of the one selected in Camouflage prefs/Custom Wallpaper.
This is the best in its class. The program has so many options it allows you to rename anything the way you want. The batch option is also a great feature when long lists of files have to be renamed. Deserves 5 stars :-)
The latest version (2.3.x) makes this software a favorite for recipe management. The previous version was lacking a every important feature: grocery list. This is now included and I do not need to look elsewhere for a recipe software. The Web importing function is very well implemented and saves a lot of copy/paste operations. Adding more pictures to each recipe (also in v2.3.x) will prove very useful for recipes with a set of pictures describing that recipe.
The interface is very powerful and I love being able to add and organize folders as I choose.
In the past I had several crashes but stability has improved a lot in the last few versions.
Overall, a great product.
Very good and stable application that I have relied upon for years. I like the flexibility it offers to define your own collections and your own fields within each collections. My database is slightly large but the software is still operating pretty fast.
I would prefer a direct integration with Web browsers though, instead of going through Keychain.
Thanks Turly for your hard work on the latest version. I have been using that most useful piece of software since... hum... since... O.K... since... well, I don't even remember. Snow Leopard remained in its box until a FP beta came out, but now my machines are happy again.
Beers are on the way, and all the best to you and your shoulder.
Same thing as HILLD here. Software installs correctly, but every time it is launched I get a crash when the registration panel shows up.
So it went to the trash.
EAA X has been a great software, but unfortunately it is not working with the Entourage version coming with Microsoft Office 2008. No words on the developer site about an upgrade to fix that problem. Any news? TIA.
Thanks. Tried a fresh download, turned off all other widgets, restarted, installed Jiwire, still crashing...
Must be an incompatibility with something I have running. Too bad, and I haven't enough time to do more testing.
