WARNING!! This script quits Safari without warning and includes no documentation. I had at least 10 tabs open to important stuff and know I've got to dig through my history to figure out what I was going to complete later (including a store order I was placing).
It also comes on a stuffed disk image, which is stupid for a 60K applescript.
There are plenty of other tools and instructions on how to turn on the debug menu. Try one of them.

Backdrop does what it says and I can't imagine how it could be done any better.
