AirServer

Mkm123 reviewed on 28 Oct 2011
I'm just wondering why anyone would want to stream video/ audio etc. to a Mac? Wouldn't it be easier just to pull up iTunes on your mac and watch a movie or listen to music? Seems like a pointless app. It would be more beneficial if you could reverse the flow and stream media from the Mac to the iOS device.

I'm not sure Al. I am hoping others on this forum can educate me on the benefits of streaming video and Audio to my Mac from my iPhone. I currently use a Mac Mini hardwired to my HDTV to watch movies and listen to Pandora, view Netflix, Hulu + and iTunes music. I believe the new AppleTV 2 can stream video and audio to iOS devices (iPhone & iPad).

Ryan, Are you talking about going into iTunes for these settings? or the AirServer settings? Bare with me. I am trying to learn as much as possible before purchasing the software.

Great Explanation Ryan. Thanks for Clarifying. I still don't see the value of this software since My MacMini already feeds Audio and Video content to my HDTV. Why would I want to feed A/V from an iPhone though the MacMini into the HDTV?? Seems redundant.

How does Printopia compare to AirPrintActivator? They look similar?
