I think the beta versions are free. Eventually they'll be putting it out for sale. The website says $69 right now for their other versions. It looks promising but I'll stick with NeoOffice.
This is fast becoming my most used app for storing info. The dev is open to feature requests and I love the docking feature. There are still a few more features before I can officially dump DevonThink Pro, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time. Great job!
I downloaded this app thinking it was the updated version for DT Pro; as UMIJIN pointed out, it is actually a new product with more features upgraded from DT Pro.
I am a long-time user of DT Pro and I absolutely love it. But the interface is getting a little long in the tooth and I hoped that these new features would be in the DT Pro version. DT Pro (Office) should be more of a sharing feature where a group of users can access the same databases; I know there is a web-sharing feature, but an Office app should be a local-network sharing feature first. Also, I was hoping that a search in multiple databases would be one of the features.
The biggest problem I have is the pricing upgrade to DT Pro (Office). People who had purchased DT Pro early on won't be able to upgrade for the price difference they had purchased before, but from the current price for DT Pro. I don't agree with this at all.
It looks like I'll be looking to one of the other info apps out there.
Sorry, my mistake regarding the upgrade policy. When I looked back at my receipts, they were ALMOST in line with the current price for DT Pro. My apologies, DT, regarding this. But I still think that all of these current features should have been included in the DT Pro app instead of a new Office app.
Even in its current state, its better than most of the other writing apps out there. Outlining, exporting, overall general layout is extremely user-friendly. I know the developer didn't want his app out to the public this early. Lucky for me I saw Scrivener referenced in another review of a writing app.
This app has great potential and the developer has been so responsive to requests and bug reports; I reported a couple bugs separately and they were both acknowledged and fixed within a couple days. Now that's responsive.
I recommend this app wholeheartedly.
