Thanks for the good words. Small correction though; iRatchet does support multiple currencies. Go to 'Manage Clients', select a client, go to the Invoicing tab, and select the currency you want to use for that client. If you want to view projects/items with the currency set for their client, go into preference/general, and uncheck 'Use default currency code for all clients'.
Very true; currency conversion is not supported yet. To some, this is necessary, but to many, it is not. My point wasn't that I don't have more work to do, but that there is multi-currency support. Many users find that the current implementation meets their needs. Maybe a more accurate comment would be 'partial' multicurrency support :-)
JAMESKITTY, 1.59 went out yesterday (2 weeks after the last release). It had a critical bug that slipped by, so I fixed it quickly. Overall, my generally very happy customers really appreciate the fact that I quickly fix issues. If you want to critique my software, please try to be constructive instead just critical. Writing, publishing and maintaining your own software takes a significant amount of effort. The time/energy I put into iRatchet is far and above whatever profit I get out. If you want to send me a link to your software and I'll try and learn from it.
To be clear, I'm saying that YOUR feedback was not useful. You did not comment on features/functionality of iRatchet; you simply made an ignorant assumption about zero testing effort because a hot fix was needed. So we're done. I think you're an arrogant idiot, and you don't like my app. That's cool, you don't need to. Many others do, and you have options.
Hey Rob (and others who are facing this). At some earlier version, iRatchet was switched to a 10 day trial. You can easily reset this 10 day trial period, by deleting the 'iRatchet2.irdb' database located in '~/Library/Application Support/iRatchet' folder. Delete this file, then when you launch iRatchet, it will recreate the database, and reset your 10 day trial period. Or, feel free to purchase a serial and support iRatchet development.
Just you ya know, eSellerate is working just fine now (I know you're anxious to use it). Also, support and comment email addresses are now up on my web site, and I do hope to hear both. Samuel's comments about localization and .mac are correct. Localization limitations will be addressed within a week, and stay tuned for v2 for some unique .mac integration.
