Once you've used this for a while, try listening to some music without it! Everything sounds shit, like through earplugs or a big cushion over your head. The presets are perfectly fine for almost any type of audio, but do play with all the options - it's fun!
Its beauty is in its simplicity. Yes, Handbrake has a lot more compression features (which I've never needed) and I could do everything with other free tools, but nothing beats RipIt in regards to ease of use. If you just want to rip your DVD collection without much of a hassle, RipIt is perfect for the job.
