Great to see Tex-Edit back. I lost it when I went to Lion-- or maybe earlier. Up and running with one of my favorite text editors-- and it took my registration from 2004! I no longer have to try to do some text tricks the really hard way with MS Word!
My message to Chronos asking for instructions on migrating my individually-licensed copy of SOHO Notes to my new laptop from my G4 desktop was answered in just a few hours with the instructions below. It got the job done!
1. Launch SOHO Notes on your old computer.
2. Choose File > Back Up Database > To a File, and save the backup.
3. Transfer this backup file to your new computer.
4. Install SOHO Notes on your new computer.
5. Launch SOHO Notes. This will create a new database.
6. Choose File > Restore Database > From a File, and select the backup file and click Open.
I have been very pleased with the app and glad I didn't have to leave it behind.
