I would like to give this 5 stars for everything, because it really has cleared up a lot of space on my hard drive, which I'm very pleased about. However, I've noticed programs crashing a lot now, when before they didn't.

ShapeShifter
Mazzboy commented on 16 Apr 2007
It's great fun to change the same old boring look of OS X but be aware that it can cause problems with some software. I thought my Final Cut Pro was broken and sat here reinstalling everything, looking for help in the apple forums, when eventually it turned out that if I disabled ShapeShifter everything was fine again.

So basically what I'm saying is, if you are using it and something stops working properly, you can just disable it while you're using that application.

AppleJack

Mazzboy reviewed on 14 Mar 2007
I'm so pleased to have found AppleJack. I've spent a fair amount of time trying out other similar things but none of them have quite done what I've wanted, unlike AppleJack, so thanks.

It at first seems a little scary to the casual OS X user, in that it runs in single user mode, which I'd never seen before, but once you follow the simple instructions of restart and hold command S, it couldn't be simpler. Mac OS X's Disk Utility annoyingly would tell me that a volume needed to be repaired and then wouldn't let me, but AppleJack found a way around it.

I was beginning to get worried about my laptop but now all the bugs and things here and there that just didn't seem right are all fixed.

Again, thank you.

Yeah it works fine. But how do I remove it if I decide I don't want to use it anymore?
