Don't waste your time with this relic - the author has been bullsh*tting registered users for years about having an Intel version built, and here we have an update from a month ago, and it's STILL just an old PPC app.
I've owned an Intel mac for almost 4 years, and would have happily paid again for an updated version for Intel.
And you know what, I got sick of the author's lies. He stole open source code, built an app and charged for it, then kept lying to paying customers for years. SCUMBAG.
So I bought Unison. Makes Thoth look like a turd sandwich
I installed this yesterday, and already it's quitting and telling me the trial period is over.
I buy quite a bit of shareware, but I expect at least 2 weeks to evaluate it. Give me 1 day to look at Steermouse, and what I do is this: I uninstall it and write this review.
It's an utter disgrace that Logitech's own software won't recognize it's own products. That said, there aren't a great deal of choices for a good mouse.
I recently bought an MX Revolution and am very disappointed that I cannot use buttons 3-12 because they need special software. I used an MX-518 before this and all it's buttons were recognized by OS X without extra software.
I would have liked to test out Steermouse, but 1 day is not enough, and it's a shame the author is so keen to get a fee.
I paid for this software on Sept 29 2008, and for the most part it works very well.
However, I have noticed that if used over a period of 3-4 days, eventually NZB Drop will start failing to work, downloads will slow to a crawl before eventually the app stops responding at all....
I will now look at quitting and restarting the app on a daily basis to see if this allows me to avoid the problem.
I just downloaded the demo of version 6.1.5, and I'm not impressed that the 'trial' usage doesn't give me any way of assessing whether this app can do what it promises, even for a day....
Very disappointed with 2.0.4. After paying for it, I discover that it has a very nasty bug where it freezes up my Mac Pro for approx 30 seconds and then the entire left sidebar becomes a mess of corrupted graphics, and the only way to see my newsgroups listed properly if to relaunch Unison.
Another thing this is lacking in is automatically marking cross-posts to other newsgroups as read. This is something Thoth and other newsreaders have been doing for YEARS.
Also, when you want to read more posts, it shouldn't load headers for articles you have already read.

Sorry, you're not getting my money this way.

I despise crippleware. This program actually impedes your download speed and it randomly removes search entries....
