Upgraded to Lion and could no longer use my long-time standby Renamer for Mac. Tried a few others, but Rename works like a champ, even better and quicker than my former application. Five stars and thank you to the developer.

I'm going to reply to my own question in the hope that the developer will see this.
Without those two features - a) a back navigation button and b) a way to interrupt a download - Get Tube is almost useless. If these features are included, I don't see them. There are two arrow buttons at the bottom of the window, but they seem to do nothing.
For some reason, the developer has completely rewritten this app, starting with one that was very useful, then morphing to one that was missing a useful feature (i.e., the ability to batch download), then to this mini-browser which doesn't work very well.
Every so often, each version of the app suddenly fails. I'm assuming that this has to do with some change made by YouTube to thwart downloads. The developer eventually catches up to YouTube, but why he feels compelled to re-write the entire app is curious.
I would gladly pay money for this app if it worked properly and remained consistent.
Please, this is not a rant at the developer, just a comment about a very useful concept that seems to miss the mark.

Mr. Hamrick is dealing with a great variety of input devices, most of which he cannot test.
This software has worked well for me from the get-go using four different scanners.
If you don't like VS, then go with the apps that came bundled with your scanner.

Also, I wasn't able to paste images inline.
Both of those issues are dealbreakers for me, even though the software is free.

SS abandoned its loyal user base years ago when it didn't upgrade TS to OSX.
Give us a reasonably priced upgrade and our praise (hopefully it'll be worthy enough) will help you sell it to new users.
Get Tube
1. Is there a back button as in an Internet browser?
2. Is there a way to stop or cancel a download?
