Pro:
- Simple to use
- Now finally with standard "save-on-demand" (previously only "auto-save")
- Free!
- Seems to be getting more of the developer's attention over the recent months
- Stable
Con:
- Search is sub-par: a) only searches per item, not across all items b) data are not indexed by Spotlight
- Only allows to open one datafile. So it isn't able to have one file with sensitive content on an encrypted disk image and another somewhere else without encryption
I wish I could add each and every file as an icon into this. The Finder doesn't cut it, because it is clumsy to add text notes to files. Caboodle makes managing notes easy, but you can only add stuff like images, and they are displayed in full size, not as mini icons. I remember that DevonThink and DevonNote do that. But they seemed too complex for me that I really wanted to try them out. (Never mind that they are much expensive, too) Caboodle is nice in both respects.
