I tried to install it, and it does not work, and I can't seem to access it in any way. It simply does not show up in skype. The installation package makes me log in and out again. I am a bit suspicious what things it did to my system. I tried to go to the website, but this one is only a makeshift site with no possibility to contact the developer.
This Skype extension could have a great potential, just like Clownfish for Skype (for Windows), if the developer knew what he was doing, but here certainly he does not. Until perhaps a better version comes out, I would strongly advise anyone against downloading this application.
Quite a good application. There are two things that bug me however, where I would like to offer my constructive criticism:
The price is quite high for such a small application. If the price were lower a lot more people would buy it, which would also mean more income for the developer. I'm pretty sure of this.
People are becoming aware more and more about network security and data mining.
For the price one would expect an update button, or any other way to update from within the application. I do not like going to websites for every little app to see if there is an update and manually download it every time, especially when an app like this updates every week or so. It's a waste of time. I particularly like how the developer of Things handles updating from within that application. Otherwise, all in all, quite a good application.
I'll stick to the 7.02 version until a stable release of 8.0 comes out.
What the use of testing this beta version when it does much less than the previous one?
For me this has been the most dependable and easy to use utility of its kind for a long time now. Transparently it runs in the background as a preference pane. Its icon does not take up space in the dock nor in the menu bar. Kudos for the developer.
It would be nice to extend 1Password support to Google Chrome, if possible. Although Chrome may not suit everyone's taste, I have come to prefer it over Safari, which I still use from time to time if I need to use 1Password.
Are there any plans to include Chrome into the list of supported browsers?
My Safari4 hasn't been running well in Snow Leopard. I uninstalled this program and, wow, what a difference in speed... my personal opinion - useless baggage.
As stated on the developer's page, this plugin works with Safari running in 32bit Snow Leopard mode, but this is only a temporary partial fix.
I tried this and it works, however the "customize toolbar" pane will only show the Stumbi buttons, which then can be dragged to the toolbar. Because I had already configured all the toolbar buttons I need ( e.g. print, fill forms, home, etc.) in Safari before I installed Stumbi, I can live with that until the next version comes out.
If I want to switch back to the original "customize toolbar" pane with all the options like home, print, address bar & so on, so I can customize my toolbar, I will have to uninstall Stumbi with the uninstaller located in the .dmg file, and the original "customize toolbar" pane with all the options will be restored.
So for anyone who wants to use this version in 32bit Snow Leopard, this information may come in handy.
I have enjoyed using this application for years now, and I can't find a better one on the market. Thanks to AB I now have quite a considerable collection of audio books in my iTunes library which I listen to on my iPod. It works smoothly and cleanly in all respects. All that at a very affordable price.
TotalFinder had crashed once with me running OSX 10.6.6. (or rather it had crashed the Finder) A window came up where a report was to be sent to Total Finder but that did not function very well. A beach ball came up and just stayed there. Also upon login the totalfinder window appears from the bottom several times and then disappears...is that normal? I think I will reinstall this version and see what happens....
First of all thanks for the developer for a great bit torrent program. I have been using it for years with satisfaction.
However in the last few versions a few problems arose with me:
Transmission hangs on quitting with me as well. Another issue I find is when I would like to remove a tracker from the list of a torrent in the inspector, even though is it gone from the list, they are not really removed until a restart of the program.
Otherwise I am happy with the performance.
For all of you having trouble to run this update and getting grey hairs as a result, it might pay off to refer to this web page, it might solve your problems...
Personally what worked for me was a combination of steps outlined here, and after fixing permissions and rebuilding launch services with Onyx, restarting the computer.
P.S. I'm sure Microsoft really didn't have their act together on this one, I hope they will. I'm glad though I don't have a Windows machine.
This version 2.6.0.151 I cannot log into my account anymore. It just gets stuck. As well the process of confirm application change (securityd) takes up 780 MB of my memory and because of this can last up to 10 minutes to update my keychain items. I really don't know what to do to get skype running here.
