I downloaded the SyncMate and installed it. It worked till the installation point and then it stopped. Whenever I connected my iMate Jamin, it would recognize the phone and the application would start - but then it would not connect.

The reason - the Mac Firewall. I am running the Mac OS X 10.4.1
so now, everytime i need to sync my phone with my mac, i need to disable the firewall and then it works like a song.

love the app - i can sync not just the contacts but also my calendar which shows up on the phone. The calendar also picks up the birthdays from the addressbook and puts them onto the calendar.

might upgrade in a bit.
