Clean

Macmend reviewed on 23 Nov 2011
I love this app its exactly what I need I have it put the folders into a special desktop folder which I then have in my doc for easy access.
Keeps things clear and organised

Can you create a version of this that would do the same thing for the Downloads folder on a daily/weekly or monthly basis, then I would be really happy

Organised

It would interesting if this could be a bit more selective. I have been searching for something to organise my downloads folder, but want certain folders within the downloads folder to be left alone.

I want to like this app but can't make it sync to my iPad. I am disappointed that there is so little support for such a potentially good app, no easy way to access the developer, no user forum.

I bought the full app and found the sync then worked fine with mmnote app FREE from the app store. This for me is a great replace meant for voodoo pad as it syncs via drop box works in lion and syncs with an iPad app.

This is a great little app but there is no iOS app equivalent that I can find, unless someone can point one out

I liked this app and started to use it alot, then came 10.7 and iOS 5 and another app that uses mobileme/.mac to sync bites the dust if I move to iCloud

I keep coming back to this app in my search for the perfect bucket, I like it, I like what it can do....however. its one let down at the moment is it has no iPad app. And as the mac market develops this is a major let down.

VoodooPad
Macmend commented on 16 Oct 2011
Recently I asked the question about syncing Voodoo Pad without mobileme and its webdav component.

Then I found a webdav storage system called swiss disk ( http://www.swissdisk.com ) which gives you a 50Mb to start with, I know this is not a lot but my Voodoo pad folder is about 2Mb so it leaves plenty of space. Following this I looked at Mydrive www.mydrive.ch which gives a lot more free space.

Check them out and see what you think.

Nottingham

Macmend reviewed on 14 Oct 2011
I would love to give this app more but I am using it instead of voodoo pad as a comparison because I need something that takes notes and syncs acros all my macs, so I h=gave this a tryout.

I started by importing longhand the notes I had until i realised that Nottingham just stores everything as a text doc and I could export from anything into text and then drag it to the Nottingham folder. Some import export explanation might have been useful here.

Then I came to look at how intuitive Nottingham is and it isn't. Its just a framework for list a bunch of text documents in a folder. Whilst it has some wiki capability it leaves no trail and is not easy to navigate between notes. This is its downfall. I click on a link between notes, and a link again, I want to easily get to the first note but can't.

Its an interesting app but needs a lot more work, yes it syncs using simplenote (itself a bit of a rip-off) but voodoo pad it is not its more a sort of edgies in a box with a little wiki thrown in.
