thank you for taking time to make this app!
it worked flawlessly the first time i used it and I hash checked two SFV files. I learned that my files were fine and the corruption error I was getting is caused by another problem! (yet to be determined ;) saved me from having to redownload 12 gigs. The progress bar is a nice touch! ;) 5/5 Thanks again!
i made the jump from .86 to 1.0 and have noticed that movies (rips) skip every minute or two while playing on 1.0 - but this does not happen with VLC .8.6. Is it possible there are some incompatibilities with Transmission? Specifically while downloading at fast rates. 300+k/sec. Anyone else notice this?
i forgot to add this is under a 2.5GHz Intel MBP/4GB RAM 10.5.7 so the CPU/OS isn't to blame. I'm definitely noticing an incompatibility between Transmission 1.72 and VLC 1.0 while downloading. (the movie skips for a few seconds every 30 seconds repeatedly). FWIW I have about 30 active transfers in transmission - but I must emphasize that if I boot up VLC 0.86 I don't skip at all while playing the movie. Something else is up.
used it once to convert an uif to iso (duh) and it works like it says it does! no complaints, nice progress bar and its free! 5 stars. Thanks dev, great app.
I love this reader and its keyboard shortcuts that help me breeze through PDFs. I certainly use it for other things despite the developers intended "scientific papers" use.
I use the magnifying feature very often (double and tripe click) and its frustrating having to hold the mouse button down for extended periods of time. Could you guys build in a toggle somehow? Preferably with a keystroke shortcut. That would rock.
Another thing is that it zooms back out when i reach the edges of the screen while zoomed in. That must be an irritating bug i assume?
All-in-all, this is a great piece of software, and I heartily recommend it without pause.
i echo the comments below. since it moved to a plugin, the slick navigation is lost. disappointed by this new direction. please consider moving back to a standalone app or at least give people the option to choose.
excellent! impressive interface!! some surprisingly great content (in particular a multi part documentary i watched on spacerip about robots) highly recommended. would certainly like to see more high caliber content, but then again, this is all free with no commercials, so i can't complain. (but do we really need more swimsuit channels? ugh-and i'm a guy...bring on quality content and sign up with more producers!!)
performance wise:
Penryn MBP, 6Mbit/640 DSL profile: not a single stutter, it played like butter. VERY FAST buffering, and CONSISTENT for every channel/show. impressive! not a single hiccup with hours of watching! Using my net monitor it seems the app uses less than 100k/sec, so again that's applaudable.
Quality of video is 8/10...respectable for streaming, but don't compare it to a dvd.....high motion brings the codec to its knees and pixelation is visible. by comparison, on stills it does a fantastic job.
a few minor bugs (cursor disappearing, some buttons get "stuck" in the explorer)
on an 15" i5 uMBP and I've noticed a 'downgrade' in performance while in full-screen mode on trailers from gametrailers.com and 720p videos on youtube. they play fine in windowed mode but if i go fullscreen i notice a drop in FPS. anyone else? how do i downgrade my flash player now? i found a flash uninstaller on the internet but can't find the previous version of flash. any help would be appreciated.
