I think this is a great timer. It is simple and doesn't take up a lot of hard drive space. You have the option of having the timer displayed on the menu bar so you can still keep track of time if you have the screen in use. Alarms can range from a variety of beeps or even a voice alert. Only been using it for a month but it seems stable.
