Have used it for a few days, and it is OK, considering it is a version 1.0. What immediately hit me with this app - I need the shortcut to hide the Surface panel, not only to open it, you know, reversal - shortcut - open; shortcut again - hidden. The cool would be also to have a possibility to manually change the space that Surface covers.
First of all - it works as advertised.
It is worth the money, if you, like me, use Evernote on daily basis and switch between Mac and Windows. It is easy to manage tasks via OnlyTasks (I set up two additional Notebooks for this purpose - GTD and Done).
True, it could be prettier, but it is not to looka at, it is to get the stuff done.
Overall 4 stars
The App Icon is too big (too wide, too much space taken) and ugly. Maybe tilting it and putting in some perspective (vide: iCal, Mail) could help. The second thing is icons inside the app - not too pretty either, to be honest with you. The same is with toolbar Icons, though, they can stay as they are, except for "Edit icon". I got used to default look of a task.
This is absolutely fantastic app. The real metaphor of your paper notebook. I only wait for the better GTD implementation (contexts, and quick task add), but otherwise I strongly recommend NoteBook as a primery notes collector/base. Clipping service and export to html are killer features.
