I hope the author reads this.
This can be a great app. On my MacPro, (10.6.8) it crashes after 30-40% done. I have no way to tell why, new machine 12GB memory, and crash screen is Greek to me.
On my G4 MDD 1.42 running just Leo, it's now at 85% finished. No issue with speed, so long as it completes I'll be happy, and so far it looks good.
The way it functions is the way it should, i.e. choosing picture folder, and main image, etc, fix the crashing and I'd recommend as a paid app.
You want to see the crash report? I'm happy to crash it and send you a copy. This isn't a program I'd use often, but it's great to make a poster sized image for a party and that's exactly why I wanted a photomosaic app.

Update - it went right to the end on the G4 and saved. It will hit 180% usage (i.e. uses two cores effectively) so shut down other programs. For whatever it's worth, the PPC version runs just fine with same setting that crashed Intel Cores.

Sorry, one more update. I created a 100x100 tiled poster from a 2000 picture folder. The result was stunning. I'd mention that the resulting jpg file was over 30MB which CVS couldn't handle but Costco did just fine, printed as a 20x30 poster that I'll be putting up at a party. When I picked it up at Costco and looked at it, a crowd started to gather, the result was that impressive. Even the guy behind the photo counter was asking how I did it. "Well, first you find a friend with a G4 Mac...."
I wrote to the author asking if he planned to fix the Intel core usability. As I mentioned in first update the G4 runs this just fine.
