NeoOffice

Joemikeb reviewed on 06 Dec 2009
NeoOffice 3 is a full featured office suite and a worthy competitor for Microsoft Office for Mac. It is noticeably faster than the Mac version of OpenOffice and has superior integration with OS X features. I have found it to be stable and capable of handling anything I can throw at it. I keep attempting to use Apple Pages for projects and in almost every case I end up giving up on Pages after an hour or so of trying to format things just the way I want them and complete the project in NeoOffice in a few minutes time. IMO the database module is all too often overlooked and yet it is easy to use and works well. I haven't tried using it to access a MySQL database yet, but I see no reason it wouldn't work very will in that application as well.

I have been a contributing user for the last few years and I encourage anyone who finds NeoOffice useful to join me in supporting this very worthy project.

32- or 64-bit Kernel Startup Mode Selector

Works as advertised on my 3.06GHz iMac Core 2 Duo. My only quibble is just that a quibble. It would be nice if this were a preference pane which is the only reason I did not rate it as a 5 overall.
