FaceMenu

This is a bit of a rip-off, considering it is just touch.facebook.com. You can make the exact same menu extra yourself with the free app, FLuid.

Things

joe12south reviewed on 27 Aug 2009
A previous reviewer thought that Things shouldn't be so highly rated because it lacks certain features that he desires.

I rate Things so highly *because* it doesn't try to do everything, but what it does do it does with simplicity, elegance and reliability. In short, it is a supremely Mac-like application, and the first that his really, truly got me organized.

Adium

joe12south reviewed on 26 Feb 2008
Does everything you need, and looks good doing it! Powerful and very customizable.

As a long time Proteus user it took me just a bit to get Adium set-up the way I like, but it just keeps getting better and better, and stays free.

Only issue I routinely have is extremely slow file transfers with any protocol.

iFreeMem

This app is nothing like SpeedDoubler. It reorganizes memory to eliminate fragments, and it does so simply and effectively. If you're a power user that uses memory hungry applications (you know who you are) than this app is a nice tool to have to avoid rebooting.
