Given all the good reviews of this product I really was interested in switching over to it from Quicken. It however lacks one critical component for my needs - that of doing bill pay directly from within the program, which at the time of this comment only Quicken and Moneydance can do. That is the primary reason I chose Moneydance over SEE Finance.
Unfortunately like all the other Qucken replacements, other than MoneyDance, Bill Pay must be done by Snail Mail or online with the financial institution instead of within the program.
I have used this product for about a month or so. It seems to do what it is designed to do - simply and reasonably fast. That is a lot more than I can say about some of its competitors. Its GUI is quite basic and simple, something that can be appreciated by the casual computer user. While Onyx can do a lot more, except for the slim feature, it is also more complex. Onyx also has a better price - free.
However for the casual user, this might be a better tool as it is much less complicated to use.
If you check iTunes Radio/Religious there are a number of stations playing Holiday music for free. Slight downside is that it uses some of your bandwidth.
Laminar Research is now taking orders for x-plane 10. The full version costs $79.00 plus shipping. the demo cost nothing. The link is for x-plane 9. The official release date seems to be Dec 7, but you might get a pleasant surprise if you order now from Laminar Research.
This is already built in to OSX. In the Sound control panel in System Preferences. simply check the box labeled "Show Volume in Menu Bar". Holding down the Option key will allow you to choose the Input/Output device or Sound Preferences. If you need a keyboard shortcut you can probably create one under the Keyboard control panel in System Preferences.
Otherwise feel free to throw away a dollar on this app.
Actually you don't need to try to remember another shortcut key; just hold down the shift key when clicking on the Apple volume control menu icon and you can set the input volume directly with the slider. The only prefs that can't be set with the Apple sound icon are is the actual sound. For this Apple conveniently provides direct access to Sound Preferences.
I have no idea. What I do know is that the Gembird website does not indicate any support, sales, or distribution in the America's. You may want to research this, starting with their website to see if this technology it is marketed under a different name in the America's and what that name is. If you find it I would suggest modifying the description to include it as well with a link to the America's website. Otherwise America's customers seem to be frozen out of your app unless they order the product or purchase it in Europe.
