You know, I have been using this application since version 1.3.1, April 2006. This app continues to mature, and, in my opinion, is the best in the class of application removal apps. One more thing: When I purchased this app, I was also given free lifetime upgrades. How refreshing from this software developer. An upgrade comes out, no problem, it'll never cost me to keep using this great piece of software. I like that a lot!
I'm not sure what happened, but I could not get Synergy to install at all on my 24" iMac, 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, with 4 GB ram, running 10.5.8. I am a licensed user of Synergy from way back, and I just can't figure out why I can't install the application. After my restart, nothing appears in my Preferences. Nothing for synergy at all. Any ideas? Thanks.
You can download a free copy of MaxMenus from: www.darwinports.com/download. The web site requires for you to download DarwinPorts, after providing your email address. After you supply this info, a download link for the free copy of MaxMenus appears, click on it, and enjoy the free software. You do not have to install the copy of DarwinPorts that you downloaded. Enjoy!
What a great Mac OS X application. Talk about your finder on steroids. Once you start using this application on a daily, you will quickly realize that you can't do without this one. Makes the finder obsolete. Apple should definitely have something approaching this in their newest version of Mac, Snow Leopard, or whatever else it might be called. PathFinder is very intuitive, easy to use, and to learn. Just hover your mouse over something, and there is a pop up telling you what that button controls. The new ways to view your computers contents, especially the dual pane, is awesome. I just love this application, and have used it ever since I first bought version 3. I upgraded to version 4 in February of 2006, and an upgrade to version 5 will be done as soon as I can scrape together the few bucks needed for an upgrade license. Try this one out! You will not be disappointed.
I have been looking for a cookbook/database program that I could use to help me with planning and preparing meals, and I have found it with MacGourmet Deluxe. Wow! I don't write many reviews, but this app is perfect for what I need. I am retired on disability, and one of my chores, while my wife works, is to have dinner ready when she gets off work. This is an all in one application that is making cooking different things so easy. You can publish to your .mac account, and since I have an iWeb family blog that my adult children read (they live literally all over the U.S, in Colorado, Texas, Indiana, Ohio, Kansas), I can share some of the wonderful recipes that I find, in addition to sending them some of the families all time favorites, which they always seem to call for, telling me "I can't find the recipe, Dad". Another neat feature is the ability to sync to iCal. For meal planning that is awesome. The way this application works with the best that OS X has, makes using it a pleasure. It is intuitive, and I did not need to dig to find out how to do things. You can also export to your PDA, making shopping at the grocery that much easier. One more thing: Within the first hour of trying out this application, I was able to download so many recipes, you wouldn't believe it. Lots of recipes from Rachael Ray, Mario Batalli, and many of the chefs from Food Network. I rate this application five stars, easily.
It would be nice if you could download the new version. I keep getting an 8 kb php file that opens in BBedit. What gives? I can't rate the product, but I do wonder if the price will equal added value over the last free version that was available.
