Just want to confirm that it NEVER crash on my macbook with OS X Lion 10.7.3.
Start using it since Leopard. I often used it with mac's magnifier ('mac'+'shift'+'+') to simulate a fullscreen environment while playing wine games which didn't have fullscreen support. Thanks for the developer for his idea and efforts!
Updated to OS X Lion, and most things worked well except it would complain that if I wanted to open xGesture downloaded from Internet on every start and it also took long time to start xGesture.
I guest it has sth to do with com.apple.quarantine. Wish the developer could fix this.
Just wonder if it is possible to make this app available on AppStore and transfer our purchases there, so that more people will know this gr8t app.
Forget to mention: I installed xGesture on my Mac Air with a fresh OS X Lion, rather than installing on Snow Leopard and then upgrading to OS X Lion. It complained sth on installation, but still succeeded at last. And after xGesture started, everything worked fine like Snow Leopard.
Has been using OpenTerminal for years. And still my best choice on OS X Lion.
However, after switched to iTerm2 from iTerm, I found OpenTerminal didn't work with iTerm2. Wish the developer add the support for iTerm2 as well.
I used this app with iKey and mapped MAC+F1 to open iTerm here which saved me lot of time. I would definitely purchase this app if it goes on AppStore. Anyway, thx a lot for the developer for his work.
Perfect work! Especially gr8 for blocking ads from those non-safari software with lamed adblock features, such as Opera and wine programs.
Has been using it since 10.5. And it finally come back to snow leopard as well. Thanks to the developer!
Just want to say thanks to the developer. Very nice idea and clean approach to solve the problem of damn Finder.
Much FASTER and more elegant and using less resources than the current path finder, which is so heavy.
Never crash as I can see. (I am using DefaultFolderX, xGesture, Visor, and OpenTerminal as well).
Here're some features that I hope the developer could add them in the future:
- The editabe "address bar" like windows explorer.
- Assign shortcut keys to the context menu entry.
MPlayer OSX Extended is the best player for my mac, which can play movie of almost all codecs and is the only player that can render non-unicode ASS/SSA correctly.
The only defect that I have found is that it uses too much CPU while playing 1080p movie comparing Plex which supports hardware decoding. (Well, this is not a defect of "MPlayer OSX Extended", but a defect of ported "mplayer". )
Anyway, great thanks to author's effort to keep updating the user interface and porting MPlayer to mac!!
Best choice in Mac for those who always watch movies with Unicode SSA/ASS subtitles like me!
I hope there will be more options to render the subtitles in different ways (Currently (rev11) only resize is supported. ), such as options to change the transparency of the subtitle which is supported in Korean KMPlayer for Windows.
Anyway, thanks to the Author, I can enjoy my Anime collections in Mac now!!
I just updated to rev13 from rev12 recently, and found most of my RMVB video and some of AVI video would crash rev13, which can be played in rev12 and VLC well. Any one get the same problem?
- Most RMVB: Movie plays for arround 15sec and then stucked. I have to killall MPlayer OSX Extended to force quit.
- Some AVI:: MPlayer OSX Extended reports crash and asked me to select which mplayer to use, when I tries to play the movie.
Besides, VIDEO_TS still doesn't display well.
[Version rev13]
