I am rather pleased with the new version. There are several improvements, starting with the option not to have a dark background. What is missing, however, is the option to have larger fonts for the domain name list: this would be useful, since not everybody likes small fonts. Another thing that should be considered is adding the data for some ccTLDs that are missing (e.g. a number of European TLDs).

Not a major jump, but an improvement no doubt. Anyway, I have tested all apps for keeping a list of domains over the past few years, and this is definitely the most decent option for Mac users.

It was an excellent tool. Unfortunately, the developers have decided to discontinue it, for understandable reasons. I quote:

"Some of you may remember that we posted a beta version of Keyword Manager 1.6 earlier this year, which was compatible with iPhoto 9.1.1. However, when version 9.1.2 was released, the beta version no longer functioned. This is because a number of the functions that Keyword Manager uses to do its work were removed from iPhoto in that update.

"Each version of iPhoto that is released requires us to rewrite the entire interface between Keyword Manager and iPhoto, due to the changes that Apple makes to the internal structure of the program. We'd like to stress that this is not unexpected nor in any way Apple's fault. It is just the nature of writing a plug-in for a program without a supported plug-in architecture.

"The economics of keeping Keyword Manager up to date has caught up with us and making the plug-in work reliably in the current version of iPhoto, and then the next one after that, would require a substantial investment in time and resources from our side, and even then it is not certain that we would get Keyword Manager working as well as we'd like."

Sorry to hear that - but thanks nevertheless to the developers for all the good work they did and the time they invested.

I have switched to Chrome a few days ago, since it is so fast compared with Safari. Quite amazing.

One minus of Chrome is the lack of ability to open a PDF document within the browser window: this is something I do often with Safari, while with Chrome I need to download the document and open it with another app.

Beside that, I must admit that Chrome is a very good competitor to Safari - and does better when it comes to speed, something really crucial for surfing.

According to MacUpdate, the price is $5. In the developer's website, it is mentioned as $19 - a slight discrepancy that ought to be fixed...

I have never used PDF Garden, but I have used its "ancestor", PDF Merge X, quite a few times, and still have it on my desktop.

I own PDFpenPro. I am wondering if I should buy PDF Garden too, or if PDFpenPro can anyway do everything Pdf Garden does?

I need two small clarifications: first, is this application related to the other app by the same name, produced by djodjodesign? I realize that I had installed that app last year, believing it was a new release of iCrypt by Julien Couthouis, but apparently it was not.

Other clarification needed: as I install iCrypt version 1.2, I see in the Finder that the date of the application is 2005. Somewhat strange for a new release of the app in 2009. Or did I miss something here?

Very good app indeed, it has helped me several times.

FYI: version 2.8.2 does not decompress correctly (neither the download through MacUpdate nor the update from the app itself. Probably some corrupted file. Maybe the developer could inform us on MacUpdate once this is fixed.
